Cesc Fabregas warns Manchester City money and Kaka no guarantee of success

0 yorum

Cesc Fabregas warns Manchester City money and Kaka no guarantee of success. He continued:

"A team is not built by the chequebook alone. Money is not the most important thing in football.

“I think the important thing is not to rush into signing a new player just because money is available.

“A good team will develop naturally and trying to speed up this process with lots of money can be dangerous.

“If the club is well run, and the money they now have is well spent on building a good team, Manchester City will be dangerous. But money cannot work a miracle overnight.

“For example, Manchester United have an expensive team. Yet they won the title because they were a strong group of players, who played good football and had the belief.

“Their philosophy of attacking football was clear and they were rewarded for that.”

And he insists that nurturing talent within a club, and fostering a strong, collective team strength is the only way to forge as side capable of competing at the very top, year in year out.

“At Arsenal we prefer to develop young players and give them their chance, as I was given my chance when I was a teenager.

“Other clubs can spend what they like but we are happy with the way we do things here. I have to say I feel lucky to be at Arsenal and part of the club’s philosophy.

“I am sure City will now have bigger ambitions. But only time will tell how successful City become. At Arsenal, we do not have the right to qualify for the Champions League every season. And City do not have that right either just because they are now very rich.

“In the future, City can perhaps be a top four team. With the foundations they have and what may happen in the future, anything is possible.”

Arsenal to sign Arshavin in a week after Fabregas' injury

Arshavin

Russia’s most wanted footballer Andrey Arshavin will sign a contract with Arsenal by the week's end says the player’s agent Denis Lakhter. The offer on the table is believed to be around £16 million. If the deal is struck, it would break the Gunners’ previous transfer record of £13 million for French international, Sylvain Wiltord.

Arshavin’s club, Zenit Saint Petersburg, wanted £20 million for the player, while Arsenal was ready to pay just £10 million, but now it seems the sides are close to compromise and the 27-year-old has his sights firmly set on a move to the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal’s coach Arsene Wenger, who is in need of a high class midfielder after his main man Spaniard Cesc Fabregas received a serious injury, also seems confident of the move.

Talking to the British Daily Mail newspaper, he said that the negotiations are underway and Arsenal’s chances to grab Arshavin are high.

Andrey Arshavin came to international prominence at Euro 2008 when he was named on the team of the tournament, and during Zenit's UEFA Cup winning triumph last year.

Fabregas is ready to shine

0 yorum
Francesc FabregasFabregas has been one of European football’s most dazzling gems for several years, but the elegant midfielder found silverware increasingly hard to come by for both club and country.
Arsenal have under-achieved since he became established as a key figure for Arsene Wenger’s side, while Spain’s record as international flops was infamous.
So when the final whistle blew in Vienna to signal Spain’s first major trophy for 44 years, Fabregas felt a huge weight lifted from his shoulders.
Finally he knew what it took to reach a sporting pinnacle and the experience has left him hungry for more.
At 21, Fabregas should garner all the rewards his lavish talent deserves by the time he calls it quits. But the memory of his success with Spain has left him impatient to end Arsenal’s three-year trophy drought this season.
“Before the Euros, I didn’t know how it felt to win. But now that I have experienced it, I know what it takes,” Fabregas said. “You need to have tasted it.”
“Chelsea hadn’t won anything in many years. They got experienced players in, won the league and that gave them the confidence together. Sometimes that is the key,” he added.
After starting Euro 2008 among Luis Aragones’ reserves, Fabregas made some crucial contributions in the later stages, earning a starting place for the final and renewed talk of a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona.
With Alexander Hleb and Mathieu Flamini leaving Arsenal for Barcelona and AC Milan respectively during the close-season, it would have been easy for Fabregas to feel the club was going backwards.
But he insists he owes a debt to Wenger for the way the Gunners manager developed his unpolished talent when he signed him from Barca as a naive teenager.
While a move to Spain in the future seems likely, Fabregas is determined to restore Arsenal to the top first and he has no intention of leaving anytime soon.
“I have not spoken to any media so it’s frustrating to read quotes that I have supposedly said about my future,” Fabregas said. “I think that some people are just trying to make mischief but my intentions are very clear.
“I am happy here at Arsenal, my future is with Arsenal and the priority is to achieve success and win trophies at Arsenal.”
Such loyal sentiments are remarkable from a young man in a game rife with greed and self-interest. But Fabregas has always been wise beyond his years.
It was clear from the moment he made his Arsenal debut at 16 that nothing could faze him and he has become increasingly vocal in the dressing room since the departure of Thierry Henry, Sol Campbell and Dennis Bergkamp.
William Gallas remains Wenger’s choice as captain but it surely won’t be long before Fabregas gets the armband on a permanent basis.
“I’ve shown that I can take that responsibility and if I was made captain, I’d give even more. I don’t know where I’d get that little extra from, but I’d try to find it,” Fabregas said. “But I’m only 21. Right now, I just want to win something for Arsenal.”

ARSENAL TALK: Real Madrid linked with Fabregas again

0 yorum
MEDIA rpeorts in Spain have once again linked Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas with a move to Real Madrid.
Speculation in Fabregas' homeland claim that Madrid president Ramon Calderon will make a renewed push this summer for the Gunners biggest asset.
A report in Marca says Calderon hasn't given up on trying to bring the 21-year-old back to Spain.
The report also claims that he twice asked last month about the former Barcelona trainee's availability.
But having lost three key midfielders already this summer, Madrid would face a real fight to persuade Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger to do business.

Fabregas at Uzbekistan

0 yorum
Arsenal fans who scoffed at yesterday’s suggestion that Cesc Fabregas may be joining Barcelona in the future may want to consider a thin slither of humble pie with their coffee this morning, as the Spanish super sub has followed in the footsteps of Samuel Eto’o and travelled out to give a master-class to Uzbekistani side PFC Kuruvchi.
Joining him were Barcelona Spain teammates Andreas Iniesta and Carles Puyol, and judging by the pictures above, the Tashkent side were handing out honorary degrees from the University of Madeupsville to try and persuade the Spaniards to stay.

Spain national team players Andreas Iniesta, Carles Puyol and Cesc Fabregas shown master-class today in MHSK stadium. As yo know “Quruvchi” PFC have already organised master class with Cameroon national team player Samuel Eto’O and today Uzbek football fans could see master class with Spain football stars. As you can seen on photos boys who study in “Quruvchi” PFC football school were very glad to see world football stars and master class was very useful for them too.

Cesc Could Rejoin Barcelona - Hleb

0 yorum
Aliaksandr Hleb believes that Cesc Fàbregas could one day rejoin Barcelona and play alongside him and Thierry Henry after completing his dream move to the Catalan club.
The Belarussian playmaker revealed that his great friend at Arsenal showed him around the Catalan capital on a previous trip and still loves the club where he began.Fàbregas was strongly linked with a return to Camp Nou last summer and Hleb thinks that he could well be tempted back in next few years because of his feelings for the Blaugrana."He loves this club, and though he’s at Arsenal, who knows, maybe one day he’ll come back here," he explained. "He and Flamini were my best mates at Arsenal."I once came to Barcelona from London with Cesc, but that was only a day-trip and I saw little of the city which is now my home.” While Hleb's words will not impress Arsène Wenger, the fact that the 27-year-old considers that only now has he joined a great club may anger a few Arsenal fans.“It’s a great opportunity for me. Since I was seven my dream has been to play for a great club like Barça. I love Barça and I want to do my very best to try to win as many titles as possible," he continued.“I know it’s a great team, with great players. What I want to do is to integrate, play good football with them and obviously win.” Hleb will team up with Henry again at Barça and the pair were inseparable on when training together for the first time last Friday.Accusations that they did not perform well together at Arsenal does not bother the former Stuttgart forward and he is delighted to be back alongside his friend."He’s my mate. We spent two years together. We understand each other and I’m real pleased to be back with him," Hleb added.
