MEDIA rpeorts in Spain have once again linked Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas with a move to Real Madrid.
Speculation in Fabregas' homeland claim that Madrid president Ramon Calderon will make a renewed push this summer for the Gunners biggest asset.
A report in Marca says Calderon hasn't given up on trying to bring the 21-year-old back to Spain.
The report also claims that he twice asked last month about the former Barcelona trainee's availability.
But having lost three key midfielders already this summer, Madrid would face a real fight to persuade Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger to do business.

Fabregas at Uzbekistan

0 yorum
Arsenal fans who scoffed at yesterday’s suggestion that Cesc Fabregas may be joining Barcelona in the future may want to consider a thin slither of humble pie with their coffee this morning, as the Spanish super sub has followed in the footsteps of Samuel Eto’o and travelled out to give a master-class to Uzbekistani side PFC Kuruvchi.
Joining him were Barcelona Spain teammates Andreas Iniesta and Carles Puyol, and judging by the pictures above, the Tashkent side were handing out honorary degrees from the University of Madeupsville to try and persuade the Spaniards to stay.

Spain national team players Andreas Iniesta, Carles Puyol and Cesc Fabregas shown master-class today in MHSK stadium. As yo know “Quruvchi” PFC have already organised master class with Cameroon national team player Samuel Eto’O and today Uzbek football fans could see master class with Spain football stars. As you can seen on photos boys who study in “Quruvchi” PFC football school were very glad to see world football stars and master class was very useful for them too.

Cesc Could Rejoin Barcelona - Hleb

0 yorum
Aliaksandr Hleb believes that Cesc Fàbregas could one day rejoin Barcelona and play alongside him and Thierry Henry after completing his dream move to the Catalan club.
The Belarussian playmaker revealed that his great friend at Arsenal showed him around the Catalan capital on a previous trip and still loves the club where he began.Fàbregas was strongly linked with a return to Camp Nou last summer and Hleb thinks that he could well be tempted back in next few years because of his feelings for the Blaugrana."He loves this club, and though he’s at Arsenal, who knows, maybe one day he’ll come back here," he explained. "He and Flamini were my best mates at Arsenal."I once came to Barcelona from London with Cesc, but that was only a day-trip and I saw little of the city which is now my home.” While Hleb's words will not impress Arsène Wenger, the fact that the 27-year-old considers that only now has he joined a great club may anger a few Arsenal fans.“It’s a great opportunity for me. Since I was seven my dream has been to play for a great club like Barça. I love Barça and I want to do my very best to try to win as many titles as possible," he continued.“I know it’s a great team, with great players. What I want to do is to integrate, play good football with them and obviously win.” Hleb will team up with Henry again at Barça and the pair were inseparable on when training together for the first time last Friday.Accusations that they did not perform well together at Arsenal does not bother the former Stuttgart forward and he is delighted to be back alongside his friend."He’s my mate. We spent two years together. We understand each other and I’m real pleased to be back with him," Hleb added.

Fabregas Arsenal Player of the Season

0 yorum
The Arsenal.com Player of the Season is Cesc Fabregas. The midfielder polled 33.26 per cent of vote following his wonderful campaign for club and country.
Fabregas has really developed as a player and fully deserves this award. He earned alot of respect in the season after Henry’s exit. Arsenal were labeled as young and leaderless but many players stepped up one of them Fabregas. He became a big first team player scoring goals from the midfield and really getting the fans hopes up of winning the title.
The following season was even better for Fabergas who continued to develop but now he has become one of the best players in the world. He has had a stunning season for both club and country.
Scoring many goals from midfield for the Gunners and setting even more up he has become their lethal weapon.
Then there was Euro 2008, Fabregas was only a sub for most of the games but made massive impacts on the game scoring goals and setting them up brillently. He fitted straight into the game when he came off the bench and was cruical in some of Spain’s closer games converting a penalty to get them past the Italians.
Cese Fabregas fully deserved this award lets hope he can continue to improve and become one FIFA Player of the Year or even better.

Hleb Blasts Wenger & Fabregas

0 yorum
Arsenal midfielder Aliaksandr Hleb has joined in the recent spate of bridge burning by publicly criticising both Arsene Wenger and Cesc Fabregas…

Hleb has long been toying with a summer exit from Emirates, and has been tagged as a near-certainty to leave since Internazionale made an approach towards the end of last season. It has been suggested that the Belarusian attacker is fed up with the hustle and bustle of life in London, while the player himself has admitted he is yet to fully adapt to the pace of English football. However, the 27-year-old’s main beef may in fact be with the fact Wenger has deployed him almost exclusively on the wings, despite the fact his preference is to play through the centre.“My view of how I should be playing didn’t coincide with the manager’s,” Hleb was quoted as saying in The Sun. “I told him last season I wanted to leave and think he was quite upset about it. But ask him. It may turn out he’s happy to see me go.”SelfishFabregas is the reason Hleb cannot get a game in the middle, as the Spanish playmaker has taken the Premier League by storm over the last few seasons since bursting onto the scene as a teenager. But Hleb is not so enamoured with his team-mate as the rest of Europe is, insisting the EURO 2008 winner is greedy and goal-hungry.“When we get scoring opportunities, Fabregas is much more selfish than me,” said the ex-Stuttgart player, who has often been criticised for his minimal contribution on the score-sheet. “Given a chance to shoot, he always goes for it — unlike me.” Barca BoundHleb and his representatives are reportedly deep in negotiations with Barcelona, who are keen to replenish their creative stocks after ditching both Deco and Ronaldinho. And the former Dinamo Minsk youngster confirmed that Catalonia is his preferred destination: “I don’t know where I’ll be next season but I’d prefer Barcelona. It is being negotiated and, hopefully, will be decided soon.”

Francesc Fabregas

Full name:Francesc Fàbregas Soler
Date of birth:May 4, 1987 (1987-05-04) (age 21)
Place of birth: Arenys de Mar, Barcelona, Spain
Height:1.77 m (5 ft 9+1⁄2 in)
Playing position:Central midfielder, Playmaker
Current club:Arsenal
Number:4
Early years
Fàbregas was born to Francesc Fàbregas Sr., who runs a property company, and Núria Soler, the owner of a pastry company, Fàbregas supported FC Barcelona since he was a child and went to his first match when he was nine months old with his grandfather.[4] It was at FC Barcelona where Fàbregas began his club football career. Initially, he was played mostly as a volante (defensive midfielder), yet he was also a prolific scorer, sometimes scoring more than 30 goals in a season.[5] However, he did not play a first-team game at the Camp Nou.[6] Sensing that he would have limited opportunities at Barcelona,[7] he decided to join Arsenal, signing for the London club on 11 September 2003.[3] Initially, he found life difficult in England's capital but soon struck a friendship with team-mate Philippe Senderos, who helped him settle down.[8] As a 16-year-old, Fàbregas did not even think about breaking into the first team but looked up to his seniors Patrick Vieira and Gilberto Silva, while concentrating on training and learning the English language.[8] He made his début not long after, on October 23, 2003, in a League Cup tie at home to Rotherham United. In doing so he became Arsenal's youngest ever first-team player, aged 16 years and 177 days.[9] He then became the youngest goalscorer in Arsenal's history in a later round of the League Cup, scoring in a 5–1 victory against Wolves.[10] Although Arsenal went on to win the league unbeaten in the 2003–04 season,[11] Fàbregas was not given a winner's medal because he did not play a single league game.
It was not until the start of the 2004–05 season that the Spaniard started making first-team appearances in matches outside the League Cup. His first match of the season was against Manchester United in the Community Shield. Following an injury to Vieira, Fàbregas stepped in and made four consecutive Premier League starts. He was praised for his performances in those games, even claiming a goal against Blackburn Rovers in a 3–0 victory, and becoming Arsenal's youngest ever goalscorer in a league game.[13][14] With further injuries to Edu and Gilberto Silva, more playing time in all competitions was extended to the teenager.[2][7] In the UEFA Champions League, he became the second-youngest goalscorer in the competition's history after scoring the third goal against Rosenborg in a 5–1 win.[15] He concluded his season by winning his first honours with Arsenal when he was in the starting eleven that defeated Manchester United on penalties in the 2005 FA Cup Final.

Spanish players refuse to stop celebrating Euro 2008

0 yorum

Remember Euro 2008? It was brilliant - England weren’t there, Holland were great, Russia were tremendous, but it was Spain who won the thing. They were the best. Really good. So good that they’re still celebrating, even though the full time whistle went exactly a million hours ago.

While the rest of the world’s footballers have returned to their clubs to apologise for becoming fat over the last month and get themselves back into the gym, Spain’s finest - Torres, Silva, Fabregas - have been touring Madrid’s many nightclubs, still in their kit, to drink the bar dry.
